The Get Yourself Hired program was created by John Blackwood.

For more than 20 years John has been on both sides of the interviewing table. For the first decade of his adult life he worked many
dead-end jobs with no health care, no retirement plan and no future. He finally decided enough was enough.  He studied every available
resource to learn the art of finding a decent job.  He found that most books weren't very effective because they were written by people
who give people jobs, not by people who actually know how to get jobs.  He talked to everyone he could find who actually had a good
job and a decent career to learn how they did it. He used everything he learned to create his own system to find a better job.  His hard
work really paid off when he was offered a good paying position, with full benefits, at a large U. S. corporation.

Because of his expertise in the hiring process, John was chosen to interview both professional and entry-level job candidates.  Watching
so many intelligent and qualified people fail to get a better job made him realize the majority of people have the same problem he once
had. They have never had any real training on how to actually get a job. It was clear to him why most people fail to get hired. After
nearly 10 years of watching people struggle to get a better job, John decided to make his personal system, the Get Yourself Hired
program available to the public.

A few years ago John suddenly found himself out of work.  Using the methods he teaches in his system he was able to quickly find
another good paying job with a large and respected company. He even doubled his income in just a few short months.  Because he
knows his program works firsthand, John is committed to helping others find a better job and greater income.

In his professional life John has also worked in a wide variety of industries and held many different positions.  He has been everything
from a mail room clerk to the vice president of a company and is now the president of his own company, Blackwood Multimedia.  His
company is devoted to helping people improve the quality of their lives by finding better employment and career opportunities.

Because of John's talents he has worked with one U. S. President, Suze Ormond, Robert Kiyosaki and many other notable and
successful people. He is also a photographer, filmmaker and a volunteer fire fighter. He has personally been hired over 30 times for
various positions using techniques he teaches in the course. John is recognized as the nation's leading expert on successful job searching
and career counseling. He has been featured on both television and radio across the country.
